Milomade starts Flickr-ing again

I’ve decided that I should get back into using Flickr after helping my friend Pete out with his blog. He was having a few security issues and I suggested we rebuilt his blog from scratch  and create a new database and use my favourite theme from Elliot Jay Stocks – namely Starkers. So we spent a lovely afternoon coding away and got it sorted eventually. As Pete’s a photographer he then went ahead and installed a Flickr gallery that integrated his Flickr account with his wordpress blog.

His main reason for doing this was that he wanted some simple and uncomplicated. We both find the way that WordPress adds images to blogs really annoying, so the Flickr Gallery plugin he sourced was ideal.

Tonight I decided to re-unite myself with my Flickr account as I haven’t used it since I signed up which was about a year ago. I also decided to add a Flickr gallery to this blog and opted for the ‘Flickr Photo Album for WordPress‘ by tan tan noodles as it didn’t churn out invalid code. Installing it was pretty easy and it works really well.

So now all the images I add to this blog will be done via Flickr and when you click on them they will open up in a lovely lightbox overlay.
