Ring Storage

I’ve been making lots of rings lately and I’m always thinking ahead and wondering how best to display these at craft fairs. In the past I’ve displayed them in individual ring boxes and didn’t think this had much impact, so then I tried to adapt one of the cases the silver teaspoons came in, but this was too shallow and so it didn’t work very well. So this week I’ve done a bit of a hunt online and found this brilliant tutorial posted by PlaidCrafter or the Cut Out + Keep website.

- Sweater
- Scissors
- Glue Gun
But I guess any interesting box would do and if you don’t have an old felted sweater you could always use some thick felt. The tutorial takes you through the steps of transforming these:

Not only would this be a great way to display my rings at craft fairs, it would also be a great way to transport and store the rings too. Far too much time is often wasted when setting up a stall when dealing with individual items – displaying rings in a box like this would mean minimal set up time, but maximum impact with regards to display. I can’t wait to find an interesting box I can convert.
