Wrapping it all up…
December 14th, 2010
I love wrapping presents, but I don’t like buying fancy wrapping paper. I love wrapping my presents with pages from magazines and stuff like that. But one thing that I do have a particular fetish for is plain brown wrapping paper – but no-one [apart from me] wants to get a Christmas pressie wrapped in brown wrapping paper, so why not add a little bit of recycled bling by making some of these paper bows.
I made some last year from old gift catalogues and they looked great. As I’ve not got time to photograph all the stages of the process myself, I found this tutorial on the Green Eyed Monster website that I want to share with you.
All you’ll need are:
- Some magazines or gift catalogues
- A ruler and pencil
- Scissors
- Staples or Glue

I personally would glue all the bits together rather than staple them, but I guess it depends on how much time you have as using glue makes the process a little longer.

I like brown paper wrapping too – I often wrap with brown paper and string.

This is such a good idea. What kind of glue did you use?

Just a normal glue stick or pva work well.
