Gift Tag Give-Away!
September 19th, 2011
Remember the gift tags I made last Christmas? The ones made from recycled Christmas Cards? Well I’ve just got into making them again this year in readiness for Christmas Craft Fairs and Sales. I know it seems bizarre as it’s only September, but this year I want to be organised and make things slowly and gradually and regularly rather than having one big mad rush of making later on in the year. I’m also hoping that I’ll be getting some wholesale orders soon, so there’s that to think about and plan for as well.

I got so many donations of Christmas cards at the beginning of the year and I just got a bag load from Colin’s sister too – so as a thank you I thought I’d make her a few packs to get me going. I’ve decided to do packs of 20 rather than 10 this year and bought some new biodegradable bags especially for them. What do you think of the new look?

And now onto the give-away!
In my rush to print out the card headers and get a few packs made up, I didn’t spell check my text and ended up with a couple of mistakes – see below…

So I now have three lovely packets of gift tags that I can’t sell. I was going to repackage them, but you know how much I hate waste, so I thought that instead of ripping them out of this packaging and putting them into new, I’d do a give-away instead and three lucky folk can get a free pack of 20 lovely gift tags – albeit with spelling mistakes on the packaging – but that’s OK isn’t it – they’re free!
So all you have to do is to do a bit of blogging and linking!
- write about my gift tags on your blog
- link to my flickr set of images
- as well as this listing in my shop
- then come back here and write a comment below with a link to your blog post
I can then keep track of who has entered the give-away and at the end of the month I’ll select three lucky winners at random who will each receive a free pack of gift tags in the post.

Oh well – no-one has entered this giveaway so I’m going to just repackage my gift tags and have to deal with the wasted packaging. Never mind – maybe it’s just too early to deal with Christmas themed stuff…

I just found this website and your wonderful holiday tags. Just love them. I spent my evening making little tags. You are a woman after my own heart without wanting to waste. I am sorry no one saw your gracious offer. Our loss. Have a wondeful holiday. And I will try to slow down and double check my spelling. Happy holidays

I have saved my cards for years as I just couldn’t bare to throw them out! Just to pretty and have so much meaning. This is a great idea and I’d love to make my own with the grand children! They would love this fun project. Is there a template or cut out for the actual Tag that can be purchased?
Thank – You….

Yes you can buy punches in all shapes and sizes and I jut happen to have a gift tag shaped one. I also have round one and heart shaped ones that I use for other things. Just do a search for gift tag punch on eBay or on Google and you’ll soon see what I mean.
