Buttons like candy…
June 19th, 2012
I love sunny days in my studio – the afternoon light is so lovely and I get the shadows of the apple trees on my window. I’ve been collecting large jars from my total olive obsession – been addicted to olives ever since I got pregnant with Milo – in order to house my many different coloured buttons. I couldn’t resist putting a few on my windowsill today in the sunshine – they look like candy…

These will eventually end up stacked on a shelf above my jewellery bench, but also thinking I might screw the lids to the base of the shelf and have them hanging down instead – means I get extra shelf space in the end.
So I’m moving little bits and pieces into my studio even though it’s not finished yet. Hoping to get started on my jewellery bench this week though. Colin’s got to cut the semi circle out of it and then I’ve got the task of sanding, staining and oiling it. I can do a little bit each night after putting Milo to bed. Once the bench is in place I can move onto to sizing, cutting and painting my pegboard which will house all my tools eventually. Can’t wait for everything to have it’s own place at long lat.
