Clouding Over

Theme Thursday - Clouding Over

I love clouds, especially on a sunny day against a blue sky. But I also love clouds on stormy days and dark days – none are ever the same. I love seeing clouds used in jewellery, or interior decor, or on cards etc. I’ve collected lots of clouds I love in this Pinterest board and today I’d love to share with you a few my favourites.

Shannon Eileen who writes the Happiness is… Blog has created some amazing indoor clouds for a baby shower. Hung in her window they make a really dramatic statement. I love these so much! I think the cloud pom pom are made from paper and she’s attached raindrop garlands to them – such a simple idea and so effective.

This cloud is something I found on Etsy. It’s a made to order rain cloud by Elin Amanda – what a great idea! Looks lovely! Every cloud she makes is unique.

I can’t remember where I first saw images of Nimbus II, but loved it immediately. Berndnaut Smilde creates clouds using a smoke machine, combined with indoor moisture and dramatic lighting to create an indoor cloud effect that is just so real it seems unreal. I love this image.

This cheerful cloud by Chains of Grace is made from sterling silver and measures just under an inch long and just over an inch wide. It’s so simple and so beautifully made, plus a percentage of each sale is donated to Love 146 – a charity that works toward the abolition of child sex slavery and exploitation through Prevention and Aftercare solutions while contributing to a growing abolition movement.
