I love the light in my studio in the afternoons. It’s sunny, warm and makes interesting shadows appear on the frosted glass.
I have a few found objects lined up along the edge of the window and some of these a glass pieces I’ve found on the beaches near where I live. I love the way the light shines through these.
I can’t remember where or when I found Buzz Lightyear but I love the way he just stands there ready for action.
The shadows come from the fruit trees that we have in pots at the front of the house and I’m going to be moving them up to the allotment quite soon, but I’m tempted to leave them where they are as I love the shapes and forms that appear every afternoon. At least I’ll still have the shadows formed by the plants in my window box – thinking of planting some bulbs in that this year, so that this time next year I’ll have shadows of tulips and daffodils instead.
