It’s that time of year again when we creative folk in Kinghorn open the doors of our shops, galleries and studios to the public for our unique one day creative trail around the village we’ve aptly named ‘Round The Horn’. This year we have a very exciting lineup and lots of new people exhibiting with us for the very first time.
Round The Horn is happening on Saturday the 22nd of November. There will be 10 venues to visit and a total of 20 artists, designers and makers involved. Things are a little different this year in that we’ve introduced a stamping sheet. So instead of using our lovely leaflet to collect stamps for entry into our amazing prize draw and handing this in at the end of your trail, you get to keep the leaflet and hand in a stamping sheet instead.
Did I mention a prize draw? Yep, at the end of the day we will put all completed stamping sheets into a hat a draw out a winner. One lucky person will win a stocking full of handcrafted goodies and other gifts from ALL the artists involved – so that’s 20+ items in one mahoosivefestive stocking to be won! But you have to complete the whole trail around the village and collect all 10 stamps in order to enter.
We’ve distributed our leaflets locally and a little further afield this year and are already getting a sense it’s going to be a very busy day. Our Facebook likes are increasing and it’d be great to reach 300 by Saturday the 22nd, so please spread the word!
Catherine Lindow, our resident cartographer extraordinaire has created yet another original map for this years event:
Over the next week I’m going to try and post daily to let you know what Milomade goodies will be available to buy and also let you know of any offers that will be available on the day if you buy direct from my studio. But today I would like to let you get a preview of the people involved in Round the Horn 2014 and list the venues where you can see their work.
