Just a quick post to sing the praises of www.zibbet.com. I’ve only been a registered user for a few months and have only just got round to adding products to my shop, but I love the site. I have a Premium Account and with this can customise my shop, list as many items as I like, don’t have to pay any listing fees or have any commission taken off my sales. I can even create coupons and discount codes – something I will be taking advantage of soon. All this and there’s more in the pipeline too.

The Wow Thank You! website went live today. It’s a new e-commerce site promoting the talents of artisan from all over the UK. At launch there are around 1000 products for sale, alot of which are unique on-off items – that’s quite impressive!
“WowThankYou encourages the general public to look beyond the shopping centres and buy unique, home-grown, gifts instead. Promoting the work of 230 small, often home-based, businesses WowThankYou is providing an online outlet for selected artisans who usually sell only through regional craft fairs.”

At last I’ve managed to grab a bit of spare time and figure out how to incorporate my Zibbet shop with my website. So you will now be able to view all the items for sale on this page of my website. I’ve only got a few earrings listed at the moment, but in March I’ll be adding the whole range of products I create.

Well ‘Happy New Year’ to everyone out there! I hope everyone had a lovely Christmas. I had a great finish to 2009 with great sales at the craft fairs I did in November and December. On Christmas day I was far away from home, riding a camel into the desert – more on that in another post – and I wondered who would be unwrapping their presents in the morning to find something by Milomade within – I hope the gifts brought lots of happiness and joy to the people who received them.
I hope I will start seeing people around Fife wearing my button flower brooches and I wonder who will be sending out thank-you letters in my recycled envelopes as these were a very popular items and sold well at the craft fairs.

December 8th, 2009
I thought I’d just write a quick post to let you know that this Firday is the last Milomade posting date for Christmas – 11th December. So if you want to get your hands on some Milomade goodies, then make sure you purchase them this week. You can purchase Milomade goodies directly from this site, on Coriandr or on Zibbet – the links are all listed below for you…

Afer the 11th December the Milomade shop on this website will be closed. I am removing the ’shopp plugin’ from the site as it’s causing too many problems/conflicts with my blog and the support provided with the plugin is pretty much zilch. So I’m looking for new software that is easier to use and more reliable and will have a new shop up and running as of the new year.

I’ve just found out that Milomade has been selected as a stall holder for the Magpie Market to be held in Edinburgh on the 6th December. Yippee! What brilliant news! So come along to the The Lot – a converted church in the heart of the Grassmarket on the 6th of December and do some Christmas shopping or simply treat yourself.

This is just a quick post to let you all know that I’ve closed my Folksy shop and listed all my items within my Coriandr shop instead. I liked Foksy but…
- listing items was such a chore
- updating/editing listings was a bigger chore
- errors/bugs never get fixed
- folksy de-listed a few of my items without telling me or explaining why
- the buying process was annoying and the feedback process was crap
- it all was a little too clunky and laboured for my liking
In steps Coriandr and listing items is so quick and easy as is edit/updating listings too. Much happier. So if you want to buy Milomade plase now visit either my own shop or my Coriandr one.

Colin has been clearing out his office space and brought me home a box of delights today! I was really chuffed when he dumped this box full of abandoned student sketchbooks at my feet and said they were all for me.
