Close but no cigar…

April 2nd, 2010

I recently entered the photography competition on the Makers-Online website. The best product photo competition was set up to accompany their feature on taking product photos, and closed on 26th March 2010. I got an email from Luke on Thursday to say that there were 136 entries in total and I was one of the 27 to be shortlisted – how exciting!

Newsflash from Zibbet

March 25th, 2010

I’ve noticed that this week, the Zibbet site where I have my online shop, has ground to a halt and has often been unavailable. I apologise for the inconvenience, if anyone has been trying to access my shop this week. The reason for the site slowing down and disappearing at times, is that they’ve had a huge influx of new sellers – it seems that there have been a huge number of Etsy sellers migrating to Zibbet this week. Maybe it’s because we at Zibbet have been zibbeting on about how fab the site is on out blogs and on twitter and facebook.

Fabulous News! I can buy a new camera!

March 24th, 2010

I recently applied for The Craft Artists Award funded by the Scottish Arts Council and Fife Council, that is administered by Fife Council, Fife Contemporary Art & Craft, and ATTFife. I’ve applied twice before and got funding to set up Milomade a few years ago and last year to buy jewellery equipment, so wasn’t sure I’d be third time lucky and get my application approved this time around.

The reason I’ve opted for Zibbet

March 8th, 2010

Just a quick post to sing the praises of www.zibbet.com. I’ve only been a registered user for a few months and have only just got round to adding products to my shop, but I love the site. I have a Premium Account and with this can customise my shop, list as many items as I like, don’t have to pay any listing fees or have any commission taken off my sales. I can even create coupons and discount codes – something I will be taking advantage of soon. All this and there’s more in the pipeline too.

The Wow Thank You! website went live today. It’s a new e-commerce site promoting the talents of artisan from all over the UK. At launch there are around 1000 products for sale, alot of which are unique on-off items – that’s quite impressive!

The Shop is Now Open

February 25th, 2010

At last I’ve managed to grab a bit of spare time and figure out how to incorporate my Zibbet shop with my website. So you will now be able to view all the items for sale on this page of my website. I’ve only got a few earrings listed at the moment, but in March I’ll be adding the whole range of products I create.

Happy New Year!

January 9th, 2010

Well ‘Happy New Year’ to everyone out there! I hope everyone had a lovely Christmas. I had a great finish to 2009 with great sales at the craft fairs I did in November and December. On Christmas day I was far away from home, riding a camel into the desert – more on that in another post – and I wondered who would be unwrapping their presents in the morning to find something by Milomade within – I hope the gifts brought lots of happiness and joy to the people who received them.
