This weeks tutorial is brought to you from Creature Comforts. Wouldn’t it be nice to give a gift of chocolate, but to make it personalised rather than branded with ‘Cadbury’ or ‘Nestle’ etc. This tutorial shows you have to take an ordinary chocolate bar and make it into something really special. Maybe you want to celebrate a special event like an engagement or a wedding – you could create lots of personalised chocolate bars, all with little messages and greetings on them.

This weeks tutorial is brought to you from How About Orange. Just doing a little surfing and came across the How About Orange site – not visited it for ages so I headed straight over to the DIY Tutorials section and found this cute tutorial on how to make heart shaped paper clips. OK, so I’m a month late for Valentine’s day, but as that’s not a day I tend to celebrate, ask me whether I care! I don’t need one day in the year to show my partner that I love him – I think small everyday gestures are far more meaningful and romantic!

I’ve been making lots of rings lately and I’m always thinking ahead and wondering how best to display these at craft fairs. In the past I’ve displayed them in individual ring boxes and didn’t think this had much impact, so then I tried to adapt one of the cases the silver teaspoons came in, but this was too shallow and so it didn’t work very well. So this week I’ve done a bit of a hunt online and found this brilliant tutorial posted by PlaidCrafter or the Cut Out + Keep website.

I’m doing a couple of craft sales running up to the festive period and was trying to think of an easy and nice way to wrap my goods without having to buy packaging…so looked around the house for stuff to recycle and settled on magazines.
