Well it’s about time I got round to writing a tutorial about Facebook as I’ve promised so many people that I would. I joined Facebook in April and have written a few posts about it since, mostly offering promotions for my fans etc, but never really disclosed that much information about how to set up a page for your business and how to manage it.

I have to apologise for the delay in sorting out the winner of my 500 Facebook Fans Giveaway! I meant to do this at the weekend, but got so busy with other things and then my printer went wonky and my laptop refused to recognise it, so I had that to sort out as well. All fixed now and I printed off the names of my first 500 fans (still can’t believe I have that many!) and put them all into my trusty bowler hat.

Wow – I’ve just noticed that I’ve got nearly 400 fans on Facebook – how amazing is that! I wonder whether I can rack that up to 500 by the end of June? I will need your help – so spread the word that another Milomade Facebook Promotion is on the cards – I will have a think about what to do for it – but it should definitely include all 500 fans, names into a hat and one lucky winner! Keep an eye out on my Facebook page and this blog for the details, once I’ve decided what they are.

Wow in just a month I have managed to get over 200 fans on my Milomade Facebook page! So it’s time to announce the winners of my 200th fan giveaway! I’ve been working hard connecting and chatting and linking to/with other folk on Facebook and I’ve discovered so much creativity and amazing sites/blogs/shops through this process. Thanks to everyone for popping by my Facebook page and becoming a fan and spreading lots of Milomade love on Facebook and on Twitter for me – I really appreciate it. I think I prefer Facebook to Twitter – it’s got more a community spirit to it and it’s easier to find out who people are and what they do. But I digress…

Well I’ve been on Facebook since the beginning of April and I can’t believe I’m nearing 200 fans already! So once I hit the 200 mark I’m going to do another giveaway. This is to say a huge thank you for all the support my fans have given me this month and how much they’ve spread the word about Milomade across the glorious internet. So to show my thanks, 2 lucky fans are going to get their hands on some of my new badge packs that are sitting here waiting to get added to my online shop!

This morning I found out that I’ve amassed over 100 fans this weekend on Facebook! I think that’s quite amazing. Thank you to everyone for popping by and becoming a fan and spreading lots of Milomade love on Facebook and on Twitter for me – I really appreciate it. I’m totally new to Facebook and had a little trouble setting it all up, but I’ve had so many lovely visitors to my fan page who have left lots of lovely comments and this has made me feel really welcome and glad I joined.

I recently wrote a post where I said that my 100th fan on Facebook would receive an exclusive 30% discount off any item in my shop. I’ve slept on this idea and decided this morning that this wasn’t fair on all the other people who have become fans. So I’ve decided to change the promotion so that everyone has a chance of winning. So what I’m going to do now is take the first 100 fans and put them into a randomiser and pick the winner at random instead.

I’ve decided to fully embrace facebook this week and give it another go. The last time I attempted joining I didn’t set up a personal profile and just a fan page for Milomade. This made it impossible for me to connect with other facebook users and become a fan of other pages. So after realising my mistake I did a bit of research online and found out the best route to take and signed up for facebook again, but this time with a personal profile and then set up a fan page for Milomade.
