Bringing together a small set of talented designer-makers in the UK, Makers Online is an online boutique selling a wide range of beautifully hand crafted products. Specialising mostly in unique contemporary jewellery, with a wide range of bracelets, brooches, earrings and necklaces, Makers Online also stock Home Accessories, Handbags and Greetings Cards. I found the website recently and plucked up the courage to get in touch with them in the view to them stocking Milomade – and success! Look out for Milomade on Makers Online very soon.

I heard this song on the radio the other day when I was sanding down the walls in Colin’s studio and getting them ready for plastering and painting – a tiring and boring job – I felt totally demoralised thinking of all the work we need to do on the house and wishing I had the money to pay someone else to do it all. I know all the hard work is going to be worth it – I just wish it wasn’t so hard and didn’t take so long. Having to fit all the DIY around life and work means there are just not enough hours in the week to get all the tasks done and things get put off and delayed or simply ignored until they really just have to get done.

I have just listed some of my envelope packs in my shop. Please visit the Milomade Shop to see the whole collection.

These envelopes are all created from my vast stash of old maps, music and magazines. Instead of sending these off for recycling I’ve decided to recycle them myself and breathe new life into the maps, music and magazines by re-purposing them into envelopes. I love making envelopes and my studio floor always gets filled with rows and rows of envelopes drying after gluing.
