Round the ‘Horn – What a success!

I’d like to thank everyone who came and did our creative advent calendar trail around Kinghorn on Saturday – it was an amazing day – so much support and positivity all round! The Milomade studio got over 130 visitors between 10am and 6pm – how amazing is that! A huge pat on the back to everyone involved – we all did so much work to get Round the ‘Horn off the ground and advertise and spread the word about the event – all the effort really paid off.

My goodness it’s dusty around here – I’ve not logged into my blog for what seems like months and I feel terrible for neglecting it so much. I felt a bit more prepared for the second weekend of Open Studios. Milo was in more of a routine, I was a little bit more organised, I’d made up a lot of small bits and pieces of stock and also managed to fill my bargain box with lots of half price goodies.

I’ve been wanting to post about my first ever Open Studios event all week, but life has just got in the way so far. I wasn’t sure if we were going to get the studio finished on time as we had family staying the week before the event, but miraculously it all came together in the final hour or so.

New Slinky Button Necklaces

Milomade Slinky Button Necklace

Whilst taking time out from DIY to watch the Olympic opening ceremony, I started playing about with some boxes of colourful buttons I bought ages ago. Combined with some red thread I came up with some new slinky button necklaces.
