Milomade Cereal Box Notebooks

These notebooks are made from recycled materials. Paper, Cereal Boxes, Maps, Envelopes - even the packaging is 100% biodegradable - so all in all a very eco-friendly item!

Cereal box notebooks get their name from the simple fact that the covers for the books are made from cereal boxes. The paper for the inside pages is recycled from student notebooks and sketchbooks - good quality art paper.

I use the patterns found on the inside of A4 envelopes and also old maps to make the covers more attractive and these patterns are stuck down with glue. I also leave some notebooks uncovered with the cereal box artwork on display. The notebooks come in small or large sizes.

Milomade Envelopes

I have always loved receiving letters in the post as well as sending them. When I was younger I would decorate the envelopes with paintings or drawings. I also used to make envelopes from magazine pages - I thought this would cheer up the postie as well as the person receiving the letter. Everyone likes to feel special and receive surprises.

So I've rekindled my passion for making envelopes and my first range came from an old Road Atlas that had a broken spine and was getting replaced. I have since started making envelopes from old sheet music I've had stashed away, as my piano playing days are over, as well as comics and science fiction annuals - anything I come across with interesting images and colours. All packs come with address labels and 'lick and stick' flaps and are all packaged in 100% biodegradable bags.

Milomade Gift Tags

Milomade gift tags currently come in three different styles - envelope patterns, music and maps and at only £2.60 per pack, you’ve got no excuses to make your gifts just that little bit greener!

The envelope pattern gift tags use the lovely intricate security patterns you find on the inside of envelopes which I've been collecting for a while. The music gift tags are made from sheet music. The map gift tags are made from an old maps.

The envelope patterns, music and maps have been mounted onto white card, hand-punched and then attached to thread, so they're ready to be written on and attached to your gifts.

They come in packs of 10 and the tags measure 4.7cm x 3.1cm
