Here is another Butter Knife Ring for your delectation.
From one very decorative butter knife I formed two unique rings – one from the stem and one from the blade. This is the ring made from the blade.
It’s a beautiful chunky ring, very different from the rings I make from teaspoons. It has a a simple brightcut design that runs along one edge.
The hallmark dates it back to Sheffield 1912 and it was made by John Rodgers. This ring doesn’t have a hallmark as that was retained on it’s sibling.
I have oxidised the silver and polished it back to reveal and enhance the beautiful design.
It is currently a UK size ‘S’ and could be sized up and down a size if required.
