My business has a responsibility to be a good steward for the planet, and I take that responsibility seriously. I have always strived to reduce the impact I have on the planet through my choice of materials. My motto has always been ‘too good to waste’ and when you buy from Milomade you acquire something not just unique and beautiful, but something that leaves neither damage nor waste in its wake.
I have launched a limited edition set of Acorn Pendants in my shop this week. These are a very special batch of 50. I have made them specifically as a fundraiser and all profits from sales will go towards supporting a long-term art project called akin.
I’ll be at GLOW in Edinburgh this weekend, a Scottish design market at the Dovecot Studios, Infirmary Street EH1 1LT. The market is on for the whole weekend and doors open each day at 10pm and close at 5pm.
This month I’ve been taking a retrospective look back at the work I made last year. The first Lockdown seems like such a long time ago now. It was such a strange period and we had to adjust quickly to a new and different was of living, working, schooling, shopping and socialising.
Last year I unfortunately lost the admin rights to my @milomade Facebook page which I’d been running since 2010. I don’t know why this happened. Facebook never took the time to contact me and let me know.
