In a few weeks time, Coronavirus panic permitting, I’ll be at the British Craft Trade Fair showcasing my lovely jewellery, not only to the trade buyers who attend the show every year, but also to the general public.
That’s because this year, for the first time in it’s 45yr history, the British Craft Trade Fair will be opening their doors to the general public for one day only on Saturday the 4th April.
There are hundreds of designer-makers exhibiting and the public will be able to access a huge selection of products ranging from ceramics, glass, homeware, fashion, sculpture to metalwork, woodwork, textiles, art, jewellery, greeting cards and furniture. All this under one roof, what could be better! There’s no need to bring a packed lunch either, as there are cafes serving freshly prepared food and drinks on-site too.
Parking is free and doors will open at 10am and you’ll be able to browse and shop until 5pm when you’ll be booted out, hopefully with bagfuls of amazing handcrafted goodies.
Tickets for the public day are now on sale via the British Craft Trade Fair website – but I think you might be able to buy on the door as well.
I’m currently in the midst of figuring out my stock and stand display for both events as selling to the public is very different to selling to trade. For the public day I will have a wide variety of work for sale, including samples and designs that are not available on my website or from any of my UK stockists.
So put the date into your diary and plan a day out at the Yorkshire Event Centre in April.
For trade buyers the Trade part of the show will run as normal from Sunday the 5th until the Tuesday the 7th April.
I have a revised version of my Echoes collection to launch and a lovely selection of unique sterling silver spoon rings to showcase too and if you’re on my Wholesale mailing list, you will know that invites are going out in the post this week and should be with you shortly.
I am including my 2020 buyers pack with every invite sent out, so that if for any reason, you can’t make it to the show, you’ll have up to date price lists and linesheets.
