I’ve worked with cement in the past when I studies sculpture at art college and it’s a great material to work with. Since then I’ve only ever encountered cement through building projects, like our mammoth kitchen renovation project [still ongoing]. So it’s amazing to come across a site like this and find cement being used for jewellery.
It’s not a very eco friendly product so I shouldn’t really be singing it’s praises, but these rings are amazing and they totally transform the material from something mundane and industrial into something delicate and precious.

The rings are made by 22designstudio which was founded by Sean Yu and Yiting Cheng – both graduates from the Industrial Design Department of National Cheng Kung University in Taiwan.
