We had a glorious day of sunshine today and spent most of our time in the garden with the kids playing with the dog, playing badminton, volleyball and jumping on the trampoline.
I don’t really remember ever being on a trampoline before so i’m a bit of a late starter in the trampoline department and didn’t really like the experience very much to be honest. It was less scary when Emma and Colin held my hands, but I could only manage to jump up and down a little and not do any fancy tricks etc – seems daft but I really didn’t like it.

So instead I crawled underneath the trampoline and shot some video footage of the kids and Colin jumping up and down on the trampoline from underneath – even the dog joined in – she loved being up there and kept joining in.
We had a barbecue lunch and then took the dog for a long walk…

it was then time to head off to Grantham to catch the train to London. Morag drove us to the station and we got on the train which arrived a little late. The train then sat in the station for 15 minutes then the engines were switched off and we were told to get off. The train had broken down and we had to wait for the next train going to Kings Cross.
One eventually arrived and we were squeezed on. No seat available, so we were crammed into the passageways with piles of baggage and expected to stand for the entire journey [nearly 2 hours] to London. It was hot, uncomfortable and we weren’t happy that we had paid for reserved seats. We found out a week later that the train break downs had been on the news – I doubt we’ll get a refund, but there’s no harm in trying.
