I did the Charity Chic Eco fashion Fair last year and it was great fun and so I was really pleased to find that I can have a stall at the event again this year too. It’s a three day event with lots of stalls crammed with amazing creativity made from recycled/upcycled materials – Milomade will be one of these stall. There will also be stalls manned by some well known charities full of vintage clothes, fashion and bric a brac.
Charity Chic is an initiative of St Andrew’s and St George’s, the landmark city centre church. It aims to promote the importance of ethical and eco-friendly fashion and to demonstrate that constructive consumerism – clothes with conscience – can be chic.
There’s lots to see, buy and get involved with:
- Vintage clothes and accessories fromShelter, Oxfam and Barnado’s
- Vintage costume jewellery
- Silent auction of vintage pieces, including a Dolce and Gabbana suit donated by Julie Christie
- Remaking zone
- Inspiration zone
- Refreshments and home baking
Recycled handmade craft market with the following creative folk:
- Clarabella Unique Textiles
- Dazed Dorothy
- Eclectic Shock

I have chosen to support Endometriosis UK and will be donating 10% of my sales to this charity – I’m also hoping to have a donation box on my stall so that people can make a direct donation if they wish to do so. If you can’t make it to the event, but would still like to make a donation to Endometriosis UK, please click on the button below, to visit my JustGiving page:
