Thought you might like to see a sneek peak of my new cloud brooches. I made these recently but was too busy to add them to my Folksy Shop before the Charity Chic fair. They got a lot of attention and I made a few sales over the three days…here are the left over which will be going into my shop this week.

Each brooch is made with 7 buttons, all vintage, stitched onto leather which is then cut to follow the cloud shape formed by the buttons. I then cut another shape exactly the same for the back and sew a nickle brooch pin to this. The back and front are then placed together so that I can punch holes all the way around the edge. I then stitch the front and back together with white embroidery thread and the brooch is complete.

They’ll be available in my Folksy Shop soon. I’m also going to be making some in different colours, as well as different shapes – so just random assortments. They make such lovely brooches.

Wow!! I love them! So clever and different!! Love perusing your blog and seeing all your fab creations! 🙂

Fab, great idea!
I absolutely love these, dear Milomade, they remind me of Audrey H in My Fair Lady!

Remind me of the pearly kings & queens of London: just right for a knees up! lovely stitching x
Oh, these are so wonderful. I love the dark outlining to them too. So many wonderful clouds in the spring sky of late, they’ve been inspiring me also although I’ve not got anything good enough to be seen yet!
Will keep a look out for these on Folksy.
Hey these are fab. I love the contrast of colours and the stitching just makes it. Love them.
