I’m busy getting ready for my next craft fair in St Andrews at the weekend and have been making lots of lovely colourful Button Flower Brooches and my studio is getting messy again.
I can’t seem to be able to be tidy when I’m working – there are buttons all over the place, along with bits of leather and colourful thread.
I’m going to find it hard to part with these as I love them all so much!
I’ve also managed to make 5 Cereal Box Notebooks and have 2 more on the go. If I can salvage some more cereal boxes before the weekend there will be more. Considering knocking on my neighbours door and asking if they have any they’re about to throw out.
I love the one below on the right, as I managed to get the branding of the envelope along the edge of the notebook. The next two I’m making are from a Basildon Bond envelope and I’ve done the same on one of those as I think it looks good.

How frustrating – I have loads of cereal boxes: 3 hungry boys + us two and I haven’t been to the recylcing centre for ages. BUT I live in East Sussex, so not really close enough to drop them off!
oooh, those button flower brooches look like sweeties – how yummy x
we go through cereal at a rate of knots in this household too, BUT Kent isn’t exactly walking distance either :o( I think the thing to do is keep your eye out for those neighbours with lots of kids ;-D
