I’ve recently registered with Folksy and set up a new online shop as I’m going to try it out and see how it goes – so far I’m very impressed.

I love the fact that my items are listed in Pounds and Pence rather than having to deal with Euro’s on DaWanda. I also think the interface is pretty cool and it’s really easy to list items. I’m having to re-photograph all my stock though as Folksy requires images in square format and all my images are landscape format – so they get cropped and it looks like I can’t take a decent picture. So it might take a while to list all my items, but I’ll get there in the end.
I tried to take a load of images today, but it was so dark and grey all day that I had no luck. Tomorrow the forecast is for sunshine, so I reckon I’ll get a lot photographed tomorrow instead.
I’ve only had my Folksy shop open for a few days and I’m already reaping the rewards. A couple of people have featured my recycled envelope badges on their blogs- thanks to the lovely twinklyspangle and Kitschy Coo. I’ve also been contacted via Folksy by a magazine for a possible feature. Things couldn’t be better.

No problemo! I love those badges, such a great idea 🙂
