I’ve been busy making lots of things for my up and coming craft fairs in November and one idea I wanted to try was to make a cluster ring to match the cluster necklaces and earring I’ve been making – more on those later.
I wasn’t sure if it was going to work or not as I wanted to make it with buttons rather than with bundles of beads. I had to give it a go and see otherwise it would bug me for ever.
I first made a simple silver ring from D-shaped wire and then attached a small coil of silver wire to this. Not sure if that was the best option, but I thought it was the simplest at the time. I might try three separate jump rings next time if I can figure outthe best way to solder them one by one.
Anyway once I’d soldered on the coil and cleaned it all up I started adding my buttons.
I didn’t like the end result – I don’t think this work with buttons…oh well, nevermind – it looks nice hung on a leather thong as a pendant, so I think I’ll keep this for myself and where it as a necklace instead of a ring.
Are these for sale at all?
No. I was trying out an idea and it didn’t work so I ditched it.
