Last weekend I was at the Big Tent Festival in Falkland and I thought I would post up some piccies from the weekend – I didn’t take many as I was too busy promoting Milomade and Love Arts Scotland and having a good time in the Exhibition Tent along with fellow exhibitors. It was a great weekend and we only had one big downpour on Saturday evening, but the rest of the time the weather was lovely.
Crowds of lovely people…
I was dreading crowds of people and feeling claustrophobic and squashed, but it wasn’t like that at all – it was a really lovely gathering of like minded folk.

I was in here all weekend:
The exhibition tent was a non-selling venue full of stalls advertising loads of different charities, companies and services. I was on the Love Arts Scotland stall and alongside Vicky from Love Arts Scotland and Angie from Fife Contemporary Art & Craft we were promoting Arts in Scotland – visit the websites [which I designed and built] to find out more. I was there as an example of an artist/individual who has had support from these organisations and as all my work is made from recycled materials, it fitted in really well with the ethos of the whole event.

The Love Arts Scotland stall:
We met lots of lovely people and got those that were interested to sign up to the newsletter – which you can also do, by following this link – and I got to enthuse about recycling and advertise my work, which was a huge plus. We were giving away lots of LAS bags and I also brought my badge maker along on the Saturday and we made loads of small LAS badges with the love heart logo on them – they were very popular!

The Milomade Display:
This is my display – I tried to cram in examples of everything I do into a very tiny space and yes it looks cluttered, but it was very effective and gave me the opportunity to show people the amazing and lovely things I make from items that other people would throw away.

Yummy Smokies:
These looked, smelt and tasted amazing…

More Yummies:
Local meat from Falkland – zero food miles!

Rosanne Cash:
The weekend came to an end with Rosanne Cash – the sun was setting, the music was amazing – what a fab weekend!
