Looking for a belfast sink! We’re going to be turning the back porch into a little bit of a utility room and that’s where the washing machine and freezer are going to go. Between them we want to put a small belfast sink, so I went on a hunt for one recently. We have one salvage yard close-ish to us just past Kincarden Bridge – it’s called Hargreaves and it’s a brilliant place for belfast sinks.

It was my job on the day to go around a photograph the lot and take down measurements. I really love the huge ones that we could bathe the dog in but one wouldn’t fit into the space we’ve designated for the sink. I spotted these up again the wall of the office and think they’re the perfect size. Only £40 too – bargain!

So I think that’s the sink sorted. We need to get one for the new kitchen too, but the ones at Hargreaves are all vintage and so the sizes don’t really fit with the dimensions of our new units and so I think we might need to buy a new one.
