Well the Charity Chic Fair is now over and I thought I would post up some images of my stall and tell you all how it went. I really enjoyed it. It was the first ‘proper’ craft fair I’ve done and I was really nervous about it, but I shouldn’t have been. Everyone was so lovely – the organisers and the fellow stall holders and of course the public, who bought so much of my stuff.
Here’s a picture of the main entrance [on George Street] to the event:

As ever I was pleasantly suprised to see what sold and this time around my badges made from recycled magazines and envelopes were a big hit. I also sold quite a few of my button charm bracelets and a lot of my button flower brooches.
The night before I played around with how I could set my stall up, so I could then just walse in and get everything up really quickly on the day. This was definitely worth doing…

This is what my stall looked like on the day [the flash on my camera isn’t great, so there are a few blurry pics]:

I did change things as the days went along as I needed some space to make things, so I moved my badge board to stand upright and that gave me enough room at the front to get my tools, wire and buttons out and I made a few bracelets and created a new range of necklaces too.
I also pinned badges all the way along the table front which looked great and it’s a shame I didn’t photograph it before I packed up on Saturday. It was all such a rush at the end as I’d spent far too long chatting to friends and didn’t realise that everyone had more or less packed up and left!
So I never got a chance to say goodbye to a few folk that I’d met and also never managed to buy some of the things I wanted to buy from other stall holders…next time!
Here are some images of Claire Christie’s stall – Clarabella Unique Textiles – which was opposite mine. She makes the most amazing cushions, bags and accessories from vintage fabrics and buttons.
