Milomade at the Magpie Market

I’ve just found out that Milomade has been selected as a stall holder for the Magpie Market to be held in Edinburgh on the 6th December. Yippee! What brilliant news! So come along to the The Lot – a converted church in the heart of the Grassmarket on the 6th of December and do some Christmas shopping or simply treat yourself.

Find out more about Magpie by visiting the blog, but here’s a little snippet that explains what they’re all about:

Magpie is a brand new venture aiming to showcase the best art, craft and design talent around. Magpie loves the unusual, individual and eclectic.

The market will be taking over the whole building apparently and I’m going to be rubbing shoulders with some ultra talented folk and I can’t wait to meet them all and see the stuff that they make first hand. There’s a bistro too – so you could pop in for some food, a drink and do your Christmas shopping – all under one roof!

So put the 6th December in your diary – the fair starts at 12pm and ends at 6pm.

The Milomade stall will be jam packed full of goodies such as this:

More About The Venue

The LOT (www.the-lot.co.uk) will be our home for the day. It is a fabulous venue in the heart of the Grassmarket. The Grassmarket is home to some great independent vintage, art and design boutiques making it a well known destination for locals and tourists alike that are looking for something different from the usual high street fodder.

Facilities

The venue is fully accessible to those with disabilities, wheelchairs and pushchairs, with a ramped entrance and lift. A cash point is located just outside, next to Dance Base. There are plenty of newsagents and cafes nearby for any emergency supplies, and the venue also has its very own not-for-profit cafe – which sells fair trade coffee and other lovely things.

Getting Here

By Bus… A variety of Lothian buses run to George IV Bridge, or Lothian Road, both of which are just a short walk away from the venue. Check out www.lothianbuses.com for timetables.
