302 visitors through the door - Round The Horn 2014

Over the weekend I had over 300 people in my studio! Milomade HQ was one of the venues on the creative trail around Kinghorn we like to call Round The Horn. This was our third year and it was a really great weekend!

My visiting artist this year was Julia Laing of Materialised.

We first met at a craft fair in Edinburgh and have admired each others work ever since and it was so nice to do an event together. I set my studio up as a shop, which took 3 weeks of tidying up and Julia took over my living room and transformed it into her own space in only 1hr.

Unlike last year, where it was quiet all morning and then non stop mayhem for a few hours and then quiet again, this year we had a steady stream of people through the door all day. A few shots of my studio before the crowds invaded.

Did we get a chance to sit down? Nope!

Kinghorn was buzzing with folk following the trail and there was a great atmosphere. We even had a Ukelele band called ‘Uke That’ entertaining our visitors throughout the day at different venues.

In the end we had approz 302 visitors through the door – Amazing!

Next year we’re hoping to add a few more venues to our map and extend the event to a whole weekend. Looking forward to it already.
