Open Station Studios in Burntisland

There’s a little hidden gem in Burntisland – if you don’t know it’s there you would miss it. Round the back of the station there is a row of studios inhabited by jewellers, painters, crafters etc. This weekend they opened their doors to the public and Milo and I paid them a visit.

The B listed station outbuildings were formerly the original station waiting room, offices and railwaymen’s club but were converted recently by Fife Historic Buildings Trust into business premises and taken over by creative folk.

The highlight for me was meeting three jewellers all sharing one studio – Beth Legg, Grace Girvan and Sally Grant. A huge amount of talent in one small space. Overwhelming.

Everything was so beautifully displayed…

It was amazing to meet some fellow jewellers and find such talent on my doorstep.
