One of the lovely gifts I received for my birthday this year was an Amazon gift voucher (thanks Kenny & Jose). So I treated myself to a couple of books and one of these arrived today. It looks amazing and I cant wait to get stuck in and try out some new techniques and ideas.
The book contains loads of examples of working with metals like copper and brass as well as silver and I can’t wait to get stuck in. All the projects are great and cover a different aspect of metalwork. I’m particularly excited about the section on etching as I’ve wanted to try this out for ages.
I have a huge pile of copper pipes, that I salvaged from our kitchen renovation, to recycle and so expect to see lots of new work cropping up over the next few months as I’ll be playing and experimenting and coming up with new designs and collections. I want to experiment with recycling lots of different materials especially everyday metals and this book is going to be a great help.
